Hello, I 'll go to the ALGS Year4 CS and will be attending as a spectator in Sapporo. I found out that I can play Big TDM in the free play area in the program. I was wondering if it is possible to bring my own controller to play? If so, I would like to bring my DualSenseEdge.
@Yanushee_Norn From what I understand, as long as it follows the ALGS rules, (as in the controller doesn't give any advantages, such as macros and/or scripts), then it should be alright to use that controller. So, assuming that the DualSense Edge you have is the one that came with your console, (or is another one of Sony's/PlayStation's controllers), then yeah, I'd imagine it would be accepted by an Event Official.
To be on the safe side, I would avoid any controller that has:
- Gyro, (besides the Switch's JoyCons)
- Macros and/or Scripts
- Back Buttons and/or Back Pedals
- Mappable Buttons
- Anything else that provides an advantage, (such as StrikePacks)
Note: I don't work for EA and/or Respawn, or know how an Event Official might/would judge a controller. This is just my opinion based on what I know and understand of the game and of the ALGS rules. That being said, I do suggest using one of the provided controllers from the ALGS event itself.
