Cross Progression concern

I have an account on ps4 which has lots of skins and contents, but last year i no longer play on my ps4 but transferred to pc steam.

PSN 10+ season progress vs. STEAM only 1-2 season progress

Unfortunately they are on two different ea accounts.

I understand that my progress would be deleted if i unlink an account.

I am totally fine with my steam account progress deleted.

I just want to play with my PSN progress on my steam pc account once cross prog rolls out on the 31st.

Ultimately my question is:

Can i unlink my steam account and then link it to my other ea account that has my PSN progress, so that when i log in on the 31st with my steam pc account it will have my PSN progress?

(Again i am totally fine with my steam progress getting deleted.)

Pls help me this concern is hounding me since the trailer yesterday, thanks in avance!

    Hey @patooti211,

    As long as the EA account with your PSN linked has not had a Steam account connected in the past, this should be possible, correct!

    As you mentioned, unlinking an account (in this case Steam) from your EA account will cause that progress to be lost. We cannot transfer progress/content from one EA account to another.

    In this situation, getting your Steam account linked to the EA account that already has your PSN linked would result in:

    • Loss of progress from your Steam account
    • Content/progress from the PSN account will be available on all platforms connected to that EA account once Cross Progression is live

    You should be able to unlink with these steps, and this page will walk you through the linking process again if needed.

    If you run into trouble with that process, you can create a new case here and select Game Support > The EA app > I want to update my EA Account information to get in touch with the support team so they can assist further.

    Hello Mr Mako 

    Please forgive my lack of English spealing 

    i linked an Steam Account to my EA account (the one thats linked to my ps4) but I gave it to a friend I used another steam account linked to a total different ea account (I will be calling it account 2) but when i tried unlinking the first steam account to the ea account my ps4 was linked with i saw that my freind lost his progress. So i relinked them and saw That is needed to wait A year to unlink them because i want to linke account 2 to my ps4 account.

    My questions are 

    Do I have to wait a whole year to unlink it and

    Is there a way i could link account 2 and ps4 together without losing account 1 ?

    Or could I merge both of those accounts whith the ps4 one ?

    Hi @kamxfps,

    I'm afraid we cannot merge different EA accounts together or transfer progress from one account to another.

    Additionally, you would not be able to link a Steam account to your EA account if it had a different Steam account linked in the past, sorry.

    if someone made their pc account(on the same ea id as xbox account) but the pc account was made after the 26th of october will i still be able to cross progress my xbox account over to my pc?

    Hi @The501stWill,

    Yes, you will!

    That cutoff time just means any progress made on that PC account would not be merged.

    You'll still be able to play on the PC account and have access to all the content from the connected Xbox account.

    @EA_Mako  just to clarify it will be like playing on my bo account on pc so i keep badges stats skins and my heirloom.

    on the ea website it says that cross progression will be phased over a period of time. i was juts wondering how long that period of time is?

    Hi @The501stWill,

    The total time may vary depending on any issues that surface during the rollout of Cross Progression, so there's not a specific estimate we can provide at this time.

    You should see a pop-up notification in-game with the details of your account merge once this migration process is completed for your particular account, however!
