Cross progression help please!!!
Can you guys help me out please!!!
I can see how this could be a complicated topic so I will try to help you guys out and set it up easy for you .
Accounts:
"Main account" (Xbox) (linked to EA account #1) (has many items) (care about)
"Secondary account" (PC) (linked to EA account #2) (few items) (Don't care about)
Goal: I want to be able to use my items from my "main" account on both PC and Xbox.
Note: I understand account "merging" is not possible with separate EA accounts. I am wanting to use my "main account" on both platforms. I have seen the blogs about cross progression, and I just want to make sure I understand them as I do not wish to lose my items on Xbox. Since my goal is to be able to play on my high-level account on both my PC and Xbox, I do not care what I need to do to my current PC account tied to EA account #2. (Basically, if I have to lose everything on my PC/secondary account then I am fine with that.)
From what I read in the blog posts, what I need to do is unlink my steam from the 2nd EA account (which will result in me losing my stuff on my secondary account) and link it to the 1st EA account that my Xbox account has always been linked to. Doing this will NOT delete my main account (Xbox) items so I can use them on both accounts but will delete my secondary account (which I am fine with). Let me know if this solution is accurate or if there is another way.
Finally, I did see a note about cross progression not working after October 26th for the same EA account, but I thought it was worded weird and didn't fully understand it. If this information is needed, both of my EA accounts were created before this date. However my secondary account was first made on switch years ago, and I logged onto apex for the first time on my PC a couple of days ago and those accounts merged. This means that the first time I played on PC was after the date, but I don't know if that will have an effect.
Just to clarify I am wanting to play with my Xbox account on PC and Xbox. I am aware that if I do this, I think nothing from my second account will cross over. (which again is fine).
Support was not helpful at all, they just repeating what the blog posts already said. Hope you guys can help me out!!! I just want my octane heirloom on pc ☹️

Progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. This means if you link your platform to a different EA account, you'll lose access to that progress.
In your scenario, unlinking your Steam from EA account #2 to link it to the EA account that has your Xbox progress would mean losing access to the PC items, but you would then be able to access your Xbox content while on PC, as they'd both be linked to the same EA account.
Just be sure not to unlink the Xbox account to avoid losing that progress, correct.
