EA anti cheat not installed or failed authentication

You may need a Windows Update before continuing.

  There was an optional update for windows that I installed and restarted my computer. After that I installed a fresh copy of the Easy anti-Cheat installer and the same problem still persists where Apex Legends is not present on the installer at all.
