I don't think this issue is solely related to North America. Since the new version was released, this issue has persisted, and no matter what I try, nothing works.

So I called at&t and spent over 2 hours with them trying to change ports, change the DNS and whatever else he tried. Nothing worked. But if I hotspot with my verizon data it automatically works.EA_MariEA_Mako

Seems like this might be related to AT&T or their fiber program they run through suburban and urban areas . Every user that has listed their ISP has said AT&T, including me. I’m on PS5, EA account is MagmaE, Southeast-1 sever and I’m located in the Southeast of the US.

We are waiting and no one is saying anything about whether work is being done. We've been waiting for over 48 hours. Could you at least say if you're working on it or know what's going on? It's a bit disrespectful to go nearly 48 hours without a clear response

I signed in on a PlayStation 4 at my business down the road, and did not get the error when using Cox internet. It connected fine on US East 1. Only went in duos, but it seemed to be working fine. My home PlayStations, on At&T fiber still give me the same error.

From Japan, The same issue is occurring and hasn’t been resolved, so I will also provide information.

Since many Japanese users are hesitant to post in this forum due to their limited English skills, I’d like to add one more point. The same issue is occurring in Japan, and some users have reported seeing a different error message. However, the application behaves the same way, and many have said they are unable to join the lobby.

Ran into the matchmaking error when I turned on a setting for “esp alg” on my AT&T Gateway. I saw that one of the Japanese posters mentioned some were getting a different error but facing same problem. I have not looked at other threads, but I wonder if the matchmaking complaints are also AT&T. Any settings we might switch?

Error encryption protocol violation ! I have both consoles, Xbox X and PlayStation 5 and haven’t been able to play since the new update. All my friends with AT&T can’t play with same error, other friends with Cox are able too. Any update ????

I think they want to know if you’re connecting on US East, and I’m guessing you’re from FL or Az 🫤. Just curious-do you have any friends with ATT that are not locked out? (I was wondering if it was just the newer expansion areas or all AT&T.)
