FPS Cap - Stuck on unlimited, or 144

I want to cap my fps to a specific number that is not unlimited, or 144. The only thing that works is leaving it capped at 144 or completely uncapped. Is there a way to cap it to a specific value like 100, or 200? +fps_max x doesn't work unless I'm using it to completely uncap.

Sorry to see that you are having issues @TTVmaxi_0.

You can cap your frame rate to specific FPS by following the steps below:

    • Go to origin->game library->right click on Apex ->Game properties->advanced->and put in Command line arguments: +fps_max 75. (You can try setting it lower too (100, 90, 80, etc.) This step has improved stability for a lot of players, but you may need to try some different settings to get it right.

Let me know how you get on.

  • I can cap it to anything below 144, such as 70. However if I try to cap it anywhere above 144 it automatically stays at 144. If I uncap it I get 250-300 fps. Is it even possible to cap it anywhere above 144?
