Fps cap not working[pc]
Everything was fine until today I launched Apex legends and the fps cap that previously was working just fine, stopped working. I reentered '+fps_max 120' multiple times with different values but still no luck. It sets the fps to unlimited automatically. I tried using the built-it-in function 'repair' but to no avail. I launch the game on EA's app. Any ideas on how to fix this?
It's possible that you have an autoexec or another CFG in your main files that overrides the FPS cap somewhere else.
Though like PsyhiX69 mentioned, it's better to use an FPS cap via third-party software.
This is typically better due to the fact that it's putting an FPS cap via the GPU instead of limiting the FPS via the engine, which would prevent a lot of other technical issues.
Personally I recommend the official options from AMD and NVIDIA, though something like RTSS is fine too.
