[Steam] Game Crashes When Opening & When Switching Game Modes
Been having this issue since Season 27. Will open Apex Legends in Steam. Will click continue and when it gets to the News Feed, it freezes and closes.
Here are the things that I have tried:
- Verifying the file integrity. Still crashes.
- Have uninstalled and reinstalled. Still crashes.
- Stare out my window hoping that nature will provide me some divine intervention to get the game to load. Still crashes (but at least I saw grass).
The only thing that seems to work is waiting an hour or so and it eventually works. Why does it do this? I don't know. If I knew I probably would've figured out the bug by now. But alas... I am not an IT person. But back to the issue at hand. I don't want to wait an hour to play the game. I want it to work when I wish to play it.
And after that hour or so when I'm able to play the game, I can only play one mode. If I switch to any other mode, the game crashes. And when I open the game again and click the mode I wanted to play it (you probably guessed by now) crashed.
Please help IT gods and goddesses so fair in judgement. Only you can prevent game crashes.
