considering there are many many others experiencing this I don't think its a users problem here, I thinks this issue is relying on their end at this point I even tried downgrade my drivers and still no change Arena maps are fully fine no crashing at all only issue is the BR map it seems as no matter what I do I am either crashing or game just closes with no report or it just locks up.
So here what I gather so far..
1) no issues in another other game modes with exception to BR only
2) does not seem to be user problem.
3) since when does EA ever do an update without braking something ?
Each time a new season drops, it can cause assets to be corrupted.
Follow these steps and see if you can resolve it:
1. Press Windows Key + R
2. Put in %USERPROFILE% and select OK
3. Go to the Saved Games Folder
4. Navigate to the Respawn Folder
5. Navigate to the Apex Folder
6. Delete the assets folder
Great suggestion I was actually able to play for 3 games with no incident but unfortunately on the 4th game I froze and was forced to end task in task manager. Still it was better than freezing multiple times per game. Either way it seemed to be a temporary but not 100% fix. I will try again hopefully and maybe change my data center.
Wow currently on 3 games in a row without freezing, finger cross that it continue.
I was always connecting to new york/virginia server, change it for an Iowa server (about 10 ms more) and so far it's working good.
It scans your system files to check for any corrupted files, if it detects some then it'll repair those files.
Can't guarantee it'll work as users on other platforms are also encountering this issue, so repairing Win10/11 probably won't do much.
Though on the other hand it does help with fixing general instability/crashes and it's pretty much part of standard maintenance, no harm in running it anyways.
Dear EA/Respawn let me tell you my experience of the game right now:
Enter the match, land somewhere to loot, then go try find some enemies, before I find them my team mate crashed saying his game froze, alright " welcome back " lets smoke some people, we run in to other team " oh yea lets get some fun " boom my game froze, trying to reconnect ASAP once I am back in the game one of my team mate is dead - cuz there was 3 people on him - my other team mate has a little icon by his name - so he got frozen screen again aswell and hes trying reconnet back - I move to try fight the team - knock one down and boom as I did walljump my game froze for the second time - ok ok time to launch my task manager again kill the game and reconnect ASAP - I am back and I am down and my 3rd team mate is still with red icon so I guess he was not able to reconnect - so I wait if he does for like 2-3 minutes and then he just left I guess or didnt even try to come back and the game has come to an end for me and the other team mate.
WELL DONE SUCH A GREAT AND FUN EXPERIENCE PLAYING THIS GAME!!!
BTW this is morelikely the same every match I try...GG
I have tried this and it worked for about 3 games but then it started happening again...shouldn't have to delete this folder every time
My game was freezing totally randomly, but today when I clicked overlay options off from GeForce Experience, it seems to not be freezing anymore. Gonna reply if I freeze, but now it works just fine for 2h!
Nvm, spoke too soon. Froze just few moments ago.
