So almost after every other game, my game freezes either on "Starting game or while on the legend selection right before the match. I've had 100% cpu usage issues too (but guess thats a different problem which is being addressed.) The freezing started mid season 2.
Pc specs: i5 4670k (non oc) 16gb ram Rx 580 8gb
The game never crashes by itself, i have to close it via task manager and it does not generate a crash dump for me to post it.
seems this problem is pretty big and im glad it is cause maybe the devs would prioritize it cause it's literally game breaking
here is the result of the word crash in the last 2 days in apex legends subreddit which proves that it's a bug with the update not with our hardware (CM: long images added to spoiler tag)
Interesting, i have not crashed since release of season 3. im guessing once everything is patched and fixed, i'll start to crash again lmfao
hi there, i seem to have found a temp fix
it's a tool named islc"Intelligent standby list cleaner" that basically "will monitor and clear the memory standby list according to the configured options parameter you set.
It should help users who have stutters in games when using windows 10 Creator update and higher version of windows." (according to the site)
without the tool my game crashes every single game but with it running in the background the game stopped crashing.
i guess it monitors the cpu and prevents what ever causing the crash from happening.
of course this is not a complete fix but it helped let me play the game and avoid the crash, not sure if i can link the program though as im not sure if it's against the rules.
if anyone could try it, that would be great.

Welp i crashed after a long long time at the same spot. happened twice in a row already.
It started after the lastest patch. Crashes every other time. Loosing RP. And I have to force close all the time no errors nothing. Just freezes. I have latest drivers cleared origin cache repaired game, latest windows updates still nothing. I am not being dramatic but its unplayable right now and I dont see this issue being acknowledged by devs anywhere.

i jus check configs n dxdiags on this post and every one have i5 3 until 8 gen cpu with a normal gpu gtx 680 to 1060 n i have same setup i5-4460 Gtx1060 6gb 8gb Ram
I have i7 16gb ram and radeon 530 so i don't think it's certain systems
Community ManagerDo you have Origin and Apex both installed on the same drive? I would double-check to see if Origin is installed on multiple drives by accident, I've seen that lead to performance issues before.
If you have it installed on one drive, try going to another drive and unplug the other external drives to see if that has any relation to why it's freezing. Strange the disk usage peaks, but we might be on the right path here!
