The exact same thing happened to me 3 days ago. After 2000 hours of playtime and almost $2k in cosmetics since game release I got randomly banned for "account involved in cheating". My KDA has always been around 0.6. It's end of season – I was only playing casual game modes to finish up the season & the event. No ranked, no BR, nothing serious or competitive, no amazing performances, nothing. I like fair matches. Getting my longtime account banned for "cheating" is quite frankly ridiculous.
And what do you know, every response that you get from support is the same canned nonsense that everyone else gets. No actual oversight, communication or transparency. No actual investigation of anything. Just boiler plate statements that might as well be written by an AI.
You have no recourse. 4 years, 2000 hours and 2000$ down the drain because the billion dollar company doesn't respect its customers.
One of my friends had the only reasonable take on it: "that's why I mostly don't buy in-game stuff for real money – you don't actually own the stuff".
Lesson learned. Don't pay for things that you have no control over, and don't put your trust in companies with worse service than Verizon or Comcast.
