It seems like you may be trying to play on a tablet or chromebook or similar.

Your machine needs to meet the following requirements in order to play:

I experienced the same issue. I'm running Parallels Technical Preview as a VM with Windows 10 Insider Preview for ARM64 on my Apple Mac mini M1. The game installs but will not launch due to the same error. Are there any plans to get Apex to run on ARM64?

Hey @VanillaWondr I am running Parallels with Windows 11 insider on my mac mini m1. i am getting the same error (Launch Error Unsupported host machine architecture. (ARM64)) for Battlefield 2042. Did you find a fix?

@mb_lbj23 I get this message on pretty much any game using Epic's Unreal game engine. It's very frustrating they put in an architecture check which basically invalidates the x64 emulation in Windows 11. I haven't found a way to get these games to ignore the check. There are plenty of other games that will run that are Intel 64-bit. I'm on a Surface Pro X so it's definitely not a M1 via Parallels issue.

@domboy Thank you for the input. I wonder if that is a limitation of Unreal, but I would be very surprised if it actually is.

@domboy have you found any way around this check yet? im on a surface pro x as well and just cant seem to play anygame I want.

No, I unfortunately have not. The check is still in place, and no amount of fiddling with the emulation settings results in being able to hide the architecture from being detected. I was hoping the new Unreal engine would fix this, but EPIC has not seen fit to allow ARM CPUs to play games based on their engine. Really annoying. Compounding the problem is some of the games I've tried use Battleye, and that also crashes. Their support doesn't even respond.

@VanillaWondr Its not limitation of Unreal as it does support Arm64.

Also Apex is not an Unreal game anyway, its Valve Source.
