Hey @Slendergleam,
I'm not quite sure what you're asking. If you've been playing Apex Legends on Switch you would have needed to link it with an EA Account. What type of account are you referring to?

Your spot on, im thinking that im able to skip the account setup process and then everything i earn is just sitting there and if i was to get a new switch i wouldnt have access to it.

Hmm, I see. I'm not terribly familiar with how the Nintendo account system is set up for the Switch. As far as I know you can transfer your Nintendo account to a different Switch console, but it would remove your account from the previous Switch you were using. I believe it works differently from other consoles where you can log into the same account on multiple devices. You can find more info on how that works at the Nintendo Support website.
That said, your in-game progress for Apex Legends is saved on the servers, so your progress would still be tied to your account. If you do move your Nintendo account to a different Switch your progress should still be there.
