I can’t get in apex at all

 when I load into apex, on the main menu, it says “Lost connection to PlayStation servers and Ea servers…..” and then as many times as I would press X To retry to enter in the game, it won’t let me in, the only way to bypass this is just restart apex again and again and if ur lucky it would give u a normal main menu that says “press x to continue” rather then that error info, and then it would let u in, but if I try restarting apex again, I’ll have the same issue, I would usually only have to restart a couple of times, after that it would let me in, but last night, and all day today, I’ve been trying to get in for hours, and nothing so far, I even factory reset my PlayStation, redownloaded apex, I have tried everything, but still have been unable to find a fix to this, some help would be greatly appreciated as currently this makes apex unable to play

    I'm curious if setting a static IP address on your console may help. If there's an IP address conflict happening on the network that could help with the issues you've been seeing.

    The Port Forward website has some pretty good instructions on how you can set a static IP address. If you're able to give that a try please let me know how it goes. Thanks!

    Hi @MohMoh1818

    We should try out some connection troubleshooting to see if we can help get you back online.

    When you've got the chance I'd recommend starting out with the basic and advanced connectivity steps from the EA Help website. Once you've had the chance to give it a shot please let me know if you're still having trouble signing in.

    Thanks!

  • Thank u for taking time to reach out to me @EA_Kent

    I have looked into those suggested things, and tried them out, and as it was suggested in another thread, I have also tried putting my PlayStation in DMZ and done port forwarding to make sure I have an open connection

    tho so far nothing seems to be the fix to this issue

    I play on a PS4, I will include that I’ve tried with different users, and I’ve also tried redownloading apex, resetting my PlayStation, none have seemed to fix it

    @MohMoh1818

    Got it, thanks!

    Could we try setting a different DNS on your PlayStation to see if that helps? Sometimes changing the DNS can make a difference with issues like this. You can update the DNS using the steps below:

    1. Open the PS4 Settings and go to Network
    2. Select Set Up Internet Connection
    3. Choose Wi-Fi or LAN Cable depending on how your console is connected to the internet
    4. Select Custom
    5. Choose Automatic under IP Address Settings
    6. Choose Do Not Specify under DHCP Host Name
    7. Select Manual under DNS Settings
    8. Enter 8.8.8.8 as the Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 as the Secondary DNS. This is the public Google DNS, but I’ve also seen some people mention that using the public Cloudflare DNS has helped (Primary DNS: 1.1.1.1).
    9. Select Next
    10. Choose Automatic under MTU Settings
    11. Select Do Not Use under Proxy Server
    12. Select Test Internet Connection to confirm the changes and make sure you can connect.

    If you're able to give it a shot please let me know if you're still having any trouble connecting afterward. Thanks!

    Appreciate your help a lot!

    Yes I’ve tried that, sadly changing DNS doesn’t work out ☹️(

    as that method is also mentioned in the basic connectivity guide by EA that u linked me to

    anyhow, apex now does let me in, but it is after multiple restarts, which usually consumes about 20 mins, and if I restart after I’ve gotten in, then I have to go through that cycle again and keep restarting for another around 20 mins then it lets me in, mostly

    @MohMoh1818

    I appreciate you giving it a shot.

    How is your PS4 currently connected to the internet? Is it using WiFi, or is it connected with a network cable? If you're using WiFi, would it be possible to try connecting with a network cable instead to see if you notice a difference?

  • @EA_Kent

    I use a LAN cable! Although as an update, I just right now got into apex and it took me about 30-40 mins of restarts ☹️
