Solved

I finally fixed my constant crashes to desktop without error message!

I fixed my crashes to desktop on Steam (playing on Origin/EA app actually froze the game instead and I had to restart)

I literally tried everything since I build my new PC in February and the crashes got more frequent. It also changed with every patch how the crashes occurred.

TLDR see bold text

On last seasons Patch, Mixtape crashed within 5 seconds and not again after reconnecting. Next patch it was random at any point in the game, multiple times.

This season I sometimes had 3-4 Mixtapes or even BR pubs without crash making me believe I found a fix, but ranked Broken Moon crashed every single game.

I tried every combination of game settings, driver versions and settings, bios settings, underclock, undervolt, overvolt, reinstalls, dx11, dx12, all that on Windows 10 and 11 and so so much more.

It almost drove me insane I tell you.

The magic combination was to unlock my fps via Steam launch options with +fps_max 0 and limit the fps with RTSS to 140 (below my monitor refresh for no tearing without any sync)

I have not tried lower or higher fps caps with this fix.

I played around 20! ranked games now without crash. Before I was lucky if I could play ONE without.

One game of Mixtape actually still crashed at start, but that was probably for a different reason. EU Servers seem to have Problems right now.

Not tinkering and playing with v-sync on or off, unlocking or limiting the fps any other way like AMD FRTC, Chill, launch options, did not work.

Its not crashing anymore with any graphic settings. I have not tried vsync or driver settings like freesync, anti lag etc. yet

btw my PC specs are:

B650 Aorus Elite AX

Ryzen 7600x

32GB Kinston Fury Beast 6000 cl36

Radeon 6700XT

Kingston Fury Renegade nvme 1TB

Windows 10

One thing to mention is that now, my fps sometimes drop a few, to around 138, which does not happen when i cap them an other way.

Also, I tried all of this fps capping again because I had NO crashes with my iGPU (i rememered yesterday i have one) and refused to think my 6700xt has a defect. I tested dozens of AAA games without any problems after all. So I capped fps to 60 on my 6700xt and had no crash (only tried a few games), but I cant and wont play with such low fps, so i kept testing.

Aaand I almost forgot to tell you about the new bug that occures since the 60fps cap change in menus? (cant remember) Haven't had that bug for very long.

The first Minute after I launch the game it is stuttering really bad and my fps go bonkers, showing 200-300? rapidly changing, even tho I have a fps cap below that. This still happens but now I only notice it when I go to the firing range quickly after launching the game.

That was reaaally fun after reconnecting from a crash ...

Maybe mentioning all of this helps respawn to find a solution for these crashes.

I really hope this helps any of you.

Spread the word, but give me some credit 🙂

I need a vacation.

Reposting the important bits so your solution can be marked, thanks.
