Maybe we are mining ethereum or bitcoin without knowing
Same thing on my end, I have:
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060
16 GB RAM
Intel core I7-8750H @2.20 GHz 6 core processor
Also windows 10
Disable origin overlay
Origin > Application settings within the Origin client. Then choose the Origin In Game tab and disable it via the checkbox
This was of no avail to me, still at 98-100%
- And if you cap your fps ?
I will try this tonight (It run at 144fps, will try 120) If you have windows 10 try this: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=6239-DZCB-8600&l=english

this game is a joke
- I am also having this issue AMD RX 470 / i think it may have even done some damage to my GPU! when i 1st started playing i noticed it ran really really hot... but played without issue.. for 24hours about 20-30 games no issues, next day .. started having connection issues.. than crash to desktop mid game.. now i am having all sorts of GPU issues.. EA needs to address this with some urgency.
So i played around with the settings and found the "solution". I am also running a 1080TI and it sits at upwards of 95% usage while just in the menu.
The problem can be solved by not playing in Full Screen, set your display to Borderless Full Screen and the usage will go back to normal in menus.
However if you change to FS-Borderless, and still use the default Triple/Double Buffered Vsync you will be capped at 60 FPS.
V-sync Off will cap you at 144 FPS, Adaptive still works fine if you guys have high RF monitors.
Hope this helps.
Edit : This only helps with the GPU usage when you are idling in the menus waiting for matches, etc. In games my load is still 95% and up no matter what i do.
