Login verification activated, but still not able to receive gifts

in order for my friend to gift to me, i need the login verification, after half an hour i got it, but on the game (apex legends) it did not say that i had it activated, and my friend basically couldn...

@EA_Pythia Hi, I did the login verification and my friend also did it aswell, but when I go back to apex it still says that I have to do the verification and it still has the lock on it. I’ve been trying for 3 days and it still hasn’t worked. Help???

I have the same problem where it says that I turned on the verification code on my laptop and phone but it still has the lock on the button in-game. (and yes I did try restarting my game and PC multiple times)
