Login Verification for Gifting

The game prompts me to enable login verification in order to gift apex packs. I follow the steps, and complete it. I restarted my game multiple times, after enabling login verification. Logged out of steam and back in, the logged out of ea and back in. I do not get an option to gift items or packs. Each time I hit gift, it prompts me the QR code to set up login verification. Is this a known issue or bug? Do we know any fixes? My account is old enough. (Since season 8 or so, and im over level 500)
