That's definitely weird.
Do you have any other devices connected to your Xbox? If so, can you try disconnecting them all to test and see if that makes any difference?

Having the same issue on xbox series x. Mic has always worked until the last update. Game chat mic just stopped working. I am on Xbox Series X with Astro A40's wired to the xbox. No issues in Xbox party chat, so it seems to be Apex related. I like to solo queue, so when you have an update please post. Thanks!

People can hear me talk in the chat, but it speeds up my audio to the point that it is not understandable.
Any updates on when this os getting fixed??? Its difficult to play ranked when your team cant hear you. I stopped play for a week and got back on and i STILL HAVE THE SAME ISSUE!!!!
I have also had this issue since the new update for the next-gen console, I feel bad knowing I can't talk to teammates or hear them. my headset works fine on every other game out and in party chat, I'm just thinking it to do with the update which I really hope gets put first before more events happen the majority of people in next-gen cant hear people in-game chat I've done everything as asked and reset my headset everything. It makes a big difference in ranked and talking to new people and being weird messing with people and getting reactions is priceless I really hope this gets fixed soon, thank you for your time.
Me too I have 5 Xbox and 20 headset when the new season came out I can’t talk to nobody now on any of them. PS five works fine and my PC works fine it’s just the Xbox
And I did everything for the Xbox format xbox and reinstall the game I tried everything nothing works for the Xbox please fix it
Yup, on Xbox Series X and game chat does not work. No one can hear me. Party chat / every other game works fine

I'm afraid I don't have any updates on this at the moment. It's still being worked on, but I don't have a time frame for when it may be fixed.
So I got on my old gen xbox one s and loaded apex and my mic Is fully working on party chat game chat and other games. But when I’m on my series x apex mic doesn’t work. My mic doesn’t register on my screen but team says it registers on their end and my mic cuts in and out or doesn’t give audio and again other games and party work fine on series x but Apex won’t work. And again it was working fine on the Xbox One but Apex on series x doesn’t work
Please help! It is ruining my experience. And I wanna put money in the game...but not if the mic wont even work.
Is there any timeline on a fix for the mic not working on Xbox Series X? It's really hard to play without any communication at all when you're playing solo.
