Mouse not working

Apex does not respond to my mouse movements. I move the mouse and the next screen I see is it's destination frame at the end of the movement (no panning). I connected a controller and the controller ...

Turn off the EA app overlay if you have not already done so via the three bar menu at top left, Settings, Application, In-game overlay.

In the EA app, click on the game and then Manage, Repair.

Rebooting your PC and router will not hurt too, thanks.

I had already repaired the file to no avail. I have deleted the EA app and use Steam now and it works fine through Steam - thx
