NO SOUND ON APEX, pc CONTROLLER / headphones

NO SOUND ON APEX

So i recently installed Apex and my sound is being very weird.

When i join a game and use the volume knob on my keyboard ( twist it) sound comes on.

However, if i jump or shoot my sound stops until i twist the knob again.I am playing on a scuf PS4 controller with my headphone

plugged into my controller. If i use my keyboard only the sound stays. on menu screen i never any sound. I went into windows and make sure my default is my headphones,

and play back as well. I also seen a post and went into my bio onboard and disabled that. Still the sound does the same thing. I checked my audio drivers ( i think) and they are up to date. I can listen to music and play other games fine but not APEX. It appears that my controller is some how interring with sound. any help please.
