Origin Still Opens After Closing Game

Hi, I was looking to ensure the Origin client would stop opening up (takin over my desktop over currently focused applications) after closing - say - Apex Legends.

In the 'Application Settings tab under the 'Origin' tab (top left of the Origin client) the last option should do just that.

'Show Origin after gameplay' On/Off

Even if unselected, the application keeps opening after I close Apex. Every-single-time.

The option simply does not work. Or rather it works so well it cannot be turned off.

Are there any solutions to ensure the option works?

I have attempted to reinstall the Origin client and the game and neither solution changed the situation.

Hi there,
Yes, it is only for that session it will close. Turning "Show Origin After gameplay" OFF is as close to closing as Origin gets now. You have to exit it manually if you want it to exit completely.

Seems an option is lacking if this is the fact. How unfortunate.

I think it's designed to be intrusive on purpose. It seems to be within the Publisher's best interest to push a marketplace on your face just to remind you where to spend or where to sink your time. Almost every other launcher is doing it and none of them provide you with the option to toggle it off.
