I've been having consistent crashing/freezing for a few weeks now. And after weeks of trying to get the game to crash without having OBS open, I finally did, so I can confirm it's not even a resource issue with PSU, cooling, or GPU. My temperatures were fine across the board. The hottest anything got was 86.1c and that was the hotspot on my GPU. I have
NVIDIA RTX 3080
Ryzen 9 3900X CPU
64gb RAM
800W PSU
ASRock X570
Game crashes on both Steam app and EA App and has been having multiple issues with it for the past few weeks. I had a 6 hour stream at one point and had I think 8 crashes? I crash in the firing range. The trigger seems to be specifically a command input. I've crashed 5 times in the firing range, and twice were the moment I pushed a button. One time I crashed unholstering a weapon, one time I crashed pressing F1 to upgrade my legend. I have been unable to generate any crash logs in the Crashpad section, so if my crashlogs are somewhere else please let me know where to find them. I just want to play the game. I was hoping the new update would fix my crashes and that didn't happen. This is daily, practically every 30-45 minute issue. Sometiems I crash within 10 minutes of booting up the firing range. This is major problem and I can't figure it out. I've messed with graphic settings, even turning on Vsync to adaptive. For some reason the only settings I have for Vsync are "triple buffered, Adaptive, Adaptive 1/2, and Disabled" so IDK what that's about. I did see an event in event viewer related to Windows Game Bar, and so I turned off Game Mode and am gonna pray that fixes it. But if not... something has to be fixed.
I've finally received an error code! This happened in the middle of a reload animation as well.

I also had the badly formed command error a couple times but mostly just crash to desktop randomly with no error. Only game that does this.

Well, the crashing had stopped for a few weeks, but it's back again. I crashed in the middle of a ranked match, during a fight. I got back in, I was up, but I ended up dying to ring. My squad placed second. I'm pissed. Apex is the only game this happens on and it seems to cause my GPU to have a conniption because as I reviewed the VOD, my whole OBS stuttered when it happened. However I know it's not an issue with OBS because it happens when I'm not streaming, too. I'm not touching this game for a while. I'm praying I see some updates pop up on steam addressing this badly formed command because this crash is costing me wins.
If I had crashed when my team was top 2, I would've lost it. This issue has been going on for a month. FIX IT! The crash happened during second ring. By the time I got in, ring was moving and it was right behind me.

this issue is ongoing and is due to poor calls to the .dll runtime, you cant get around this bad programming an update is the only way to fix it, basically RESPAWN is not bothering to address this issue. So leaving is the only option as if you complete a challenge like me 5 times and every time it crashes and does not give you cradit, or if you are about to win and crash ... you loose. Its a no brainer, LEAVE the game alone auntil they fix it.
- 6 months ago@HardCover_TTV Sometimes i get this when i tamper with GPU Oc settings, the game really dont like that, but it may also result in game crashing like described by others here.
Even factory oc models of graphic cards has caused this for me. Reducing the coreclocks slightly, like 5-10%, and changing powerlimit slider has worked to improve things for me.
