Ps4 input lag apex legends

Between July 19th and the current date (July 22nd), myself and my partner have experienced an input lag connection symbol during our games. As a result, our matches become unplayable as we cannot rely on our controller commands to match up with what is happening in the game. I have attempted to fix this problem myself by restarting my controller and ps4, I have checked my internet connection each time (which is perfectly fine), and I bought a new controller thinking that may be the issue. None of these solutions have helped. This problem seems to be random in occurrence (there is no set time of day that it will or will not happen and some days it happens only a few times before returning to normal), but it has been consistent since the July 19th update introducing the Gaiden collection event. I'll also add I have not experienced this problem before in Apex legends, my connection has been great since the game came out (apart from general server lag issues). I've read this has been an issue present for Xbox players and unfortunately it seems it made its way to Ps4 as well.

  • Hey there, @ironickitten

I moved this over to the Apex forums for you. It was posted under Star Wars.

Anyway, input lag is often caused by a connection issue. If you happen to be playing on a wireless connection, it would be best to use a wire instead. Also, if your TV has a game mode feature, make sure that is on. Something else you can check is the HDMI cable. If it's an older one, it might be good to replace it. I'd recommend using a premium one.

Are you and your partner playing at the same time? You should make sure UPnP is enabled. Something else to check is to see if your router supports QoS (Quality of Service). If it does, enabled it and prioritize your consoles.

    I hope this helps!
