I am on AMD, this is defo not our systems fault, nor its steam it has something to do either game itself or its trash anti-cheat. Reddit has 10 posts about it in past 24hours, zero response from respawn, my mate having same CPU usage on orgin. And fact that they ignore all that is just blatant, typical triple a stuff
So Paladins have similar issue, with 1 CPU core 100% after closing game,but same * happens need to restart pc in order to get rid of it, EASY ANTI CHEAT is causing all of this.
Since you might think it's EAC, have you already tried repairing EAC to see if that resolves it?
This issue has present itself a few years back, currently I'm seeing other games being affected by this like DbD
Seems like this has to be reverted, hopefully we get an update on this soon.
- @XHelperZ I tried EasyAntiCheat_Setup laucnhing this from apex folder and repair it but no luck, same * , so I assume we need to wait for hotfix or something
I got same problem with you. CPU core 1 100% runing after play 5-10mins. then I can not close the game in the backstage. In the same time, CPU CORE 1 still runing @100%.
After 30mins later it closed by itself. then, everything goes right.
