Random Packet Loss in every server ONLY in Apex
For a few weeks now, I'm getting random Packet Loss on every Server near my country (Germany) and the Frankfurt server inclusive. The Packet Loss occur very randomly, sometimes in every game and sometimes every 2nd game or so. Then there are days where don't get any packet loss at all but in the next day again. I mostly play in the afternoon or late night and the packet loss can occur in both times. My ping never goes above 50ms and I can talk in discord perfectly fine with no connection issues.
The server list in the start screen don't show any packet loss at all (0% on every server). All of my friends don't have this issue at all and they live in the same city. I've never had serious packet loss in any other game than apex (and I just started to grind this game).
I've read lots of similar threads and tried everything with no success. I wouldn't blame my router or isp since I've (as I mentioned) never had any connection issues in games. I've tried both launchers (origin and steam) to see if it made a difference, but turned out to be the exact same results.
Even if I switch to a different game after having a game flooded with packet loss I don't get any connection/internet related issues at all.
I don't know what to do anymore, I'm really devastated at this point. I really like this game and put serious hours into it already but the packet loss is tilting me crazy sometimes... If anyone has any idea for the cause and can help me end this nightmare I will be grateful and appreciate any sort of help.
No worries, thanks for following up! Have you had a chance to try setting a different DNS in Windows to see if that helps at all? I've seen cases in the past where using a different DNS can make a difference with issues like this.
You can update your DNS through the Windows TCP/IP Settings. For more information on how to get there check out the Microsoft Support website. If you choose the Manual option you can enter a DNS of your choosing. I usually go with the public Google DNS (Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8; Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4), but if there's a different DNS you would rather use instead that's OK as well.
Please let me know how it goes when you've got the chance. Thanks!
