What I do when this happens is (provided I survive the drop) I go somewhere safe, tell my teammates about it and close Apex (alt + F4 on PC, close the app on console) and then restart the game using another server. If I'm lucky, I can rejoin my squad without any packet loss (and if I'm really lucky I haven't been knocked down in the meantime).
