Re: Able to Equip Heirloom I don't own

Where did the issue occur? Returning to the lobby after a match
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. Normal lobby screen / legend screen (when a legend has been selected)
What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. Loading into the lobby
Did your squad mates also experience the issue? I don't know
How many matches had you played in a row before the issue occurred? A lot
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 05/11/22 13:00GMT
How often does the bug occur? Rarely (0% - 9%)
How severe is your issue? Little to no impact to gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? The lobby doesnt load properly so UI is missing and game is lagging/ stuttering. If you select a legend, a prompt to 'equip' their appears when you do not have it unlocked. Once selecting equip heirloom, you are given the heirloom but have not actually unlocked it. Once you crash or restart, you cannot remove the heirloom and you still load in a match with it.
What should be happening instead? Should have the correct UI and not have equip heirloom prompt when you do not own the heirloom
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I do not think you can intentionally replicate it but when you load from a match into the lobby there is a chance that you do not load in correctly. If you then select equip heirloom, it actually selects it and you cannot remove it.

God I'm so utterly confused.
So many threads got merged, I don't even know who is who anymore, we really need some indicators for merged threads/posts.
@EA_Illium Can I send you a DM on AHQ? I've found some footage that showcases how to replicate said issue.
(I'd rather send it in private to make sure less users attempt it)
Seems to becoming quite widespread so not sure if you've already received this, so I'm just asking.
Next to that it seems that also specific servers are at play.
Just asking ahead too, will players be punished for doing this?
Whilst there is a large portion exploiting this, there are users who encountered this on accident of which are quite worried they might receive a ban.

@EA_David Yeah man, you guys should definetly go fix the free heirloom thing ASAP.
Don't even bother trying to fix the game breaking bug where it freezes your game in middle of match.

@shoxzy1337 Hi, that is absolutely an important issue and is actively being worked on. In the meantime there are some workarounds in the main thread on this. they might not help everyone, but if you're lucky they may smooth things out for you until a fix can be sent out.
