Re: AMD Phenom Crash to Desktop after choosing training or matchmaking :(

They clearly have some deal with Intel or other CPU producer, because they itself have absolutly no reason to not doing this

The fact is when I upgrade my system I will never support an EA product again.. i'm sure I won't be the only one either.

  • I wish they'd give us a reason why every other game can patch phenom support, but they can't. Guess we just have to settle for a big eff you

How about because they don't want to? Just because it isn't a good reason doesn't make it a reason. We're such a small percentage that it's an easy write-off in their eyes.

Which is why I'm assuming in my last post that they simply don't want to...they could never get away with saying that out loud for PR reasons, so instead they just tell us it's incompatible.

I mean really, if it was something they literally couldn't pull off, they'd probably tell us straight up. So instead we get the silent treatment. And we're too small a crowd to make a big enough fuss for it to make a difference.

Phenom II x6 1090T with a 1070 here. Loved TF2, TF1 almost better (sorry), and Apex looked like a proper bit of fun that I'm more than sure this PC can run. Respawn if you can get us into the game, I'm more than happy to drop some cash on the 2 locked characters for now, don't let EAs kinda craptastic reputation and community management skills ruin a good thing.

  • cant play too because of this stupid Phenom problem. I'm gonna upgrade my PC soon.

EA - never gonna buy ur games again. u are [Edit - Admin.]

  • I have a strong feeling that devs really would like to fix this issue. But, a manager who distributes such decissions decided to crop down ours and make dev team focus on something else. I just can't believe that not single one person in dev team have experience and courage for this problem fulfillment. Its either this or EA got payed to ignore old hadware problems. Second is a good story for a rant, bcs in near future this problem will overgrow in something disgusting as a whole.

  • This is a completely valid reason to give the game 0/10 on meta critic. A game that you can't even play (on a rig that can play any competing BR) is worse than a bad game. If they did a cost benefit analysis and by not supporting phenom they somehow improve the experience for other users, then the reviews will balance out. But they should feel some of the cost.

Same Problem here. My Specs Phenom 1090T with rx 570.

Ea and Ubisoft making wrong decisions. Due to Ubi's Denuvo and Phenom problems i never buy Ubi's games. EA walking same path with Ubi.

My Phenom 1090t and Rx570 still fine i can play most of games without problem. So Cpu is still have enough power to handle games you don't have to upgrade it. We are waiting for EA's new pacths for play this games.
  • judging from the current conditions EA and RESPAWN will not take action at any time, they will continue to hold the principle of minimum limits so that they can be played at the apex game at this time. in my opinion there is still one more person who might be able to give us a breakthrough. that person is Dr. Lisa Su, the current CEO of AMD.

    AMD Phenom Crashing

Apex can’t run on PC’s using AMD Phenom or older processors. For reference we’ve got the full set of PC System Requirements here: https://www.ea.com/games/apex-legends/about/pc-system-requirements

We've changed the way that we detect below our Min Spec, and will now display the message CPU does not have SSE 3

Okay SSE3 dont work for this game, but how about XEON E5450 (SSE 4.1) ??? Why the processor dont launch game ? Or quad core from intel ? ???

  • their reasons are unreasonable even we have repeatedly explained to the dev but there is still no convincing response until now, we need someone who is clever to explain the problem to Dr. Lisa su, maybe he can provide a breakthrough for this problem. https://twitter.com/LisaSu
  • Phenom Cpu's support sse3 even sse4a. If there serious problem with Cpu, game won't launch. All EA's  mistake.
