Re: Apex Legend: Got perm banned for using Logitech software [Tested]

Hey @xxxParoXysmxxx

That was the right move to contact the support team and let them forward it to the Terms of Service team.
They need some time to look into your can and try to reply within 5 business days.

Keep an eye on your mailbox and also check your spam and junk folder as those mails sometimes these emails can be routed to those folders.

Can you make sure you downloaded the latest software (Logitech G hub) from this website: Logitech - G Hub
Make the Macro tab is empty on the profile you use to play games as these macros can be picked up by the EAC.

I got a lot of Hotkeys and script to BF4 to adjust my aim and my DPI, it applied on Apex legend

I'm not sure if mean you just used the basic features of the mouse (DPI Tab) or made custom macro's for this.
I assume you are talking about macro and not script's but both are bannable in Apex Legends.

I recommend creating a clean profile on your mouse for EA games as macro's and scripts aren't allowed in many games.
You can freely customize the DPI tab and use the G8/G7 buttons the change the DPI but I recommend staying away from macro's / other customizable options when playing Apex Legends, except the RGB tho 😉

  • @Zeelmaekers Yeah, I've talked to them on phone yesterday, I hope I get good news in these incoming days, About the macros, yeah I add script that I can BunnyHop in apex legend I search about it and it's not bannable, My friend were using it since the begging of apex legend, but I do have a script that adjust my aim in BF4 also is not bannable, I might be wrong, but when I made the BF4 profile as my default I'm pretty sure the script triggered the game to ban me, anyway I'm using my old mouse atm, I don't trust Logitech software, even only it was only 1-2 days used, but I rather stay safe from these mistaken bans, Ty for clearing everything out <3

    Hey @xxxParoXysmxxx

I can definitely understand your concerns. Something like this is going to be a decision that will have to be made by the Terms of Service team. Unfortunately we don't really have any detailed information that we can share here on Answers HQ.

The Terms of Service team will review your case and follow up with you via email as soon as possible. You may have already done so, but you can share all these details with them as well to make sure it's all included with the case.

    Thanks!

    /Kent

Is a script to improve aim not cheating? If it's a dpi button that is fine but I imagine if that is what it was you would have worded it as such. I don't know who told you a script that improves your aim isn't cheating but it is nearly the definition of cheating. A no recoil script or cheat can he described exactly how you described your "script". I hope there is a language barrier but you are pretty careful not explaining what your aim improving "script" does and outside of a dpi change I can't think of any other way a macro or script could improve your aim. YOU ARE CHEATING IF IT IS ANYTHING OTHER THAN A DPI CHANGE AND ESPECIALLY IF YOUR SCRIPT/CHEAT CHANGES THE CHARACTERISTICS OF WEAPON RECOIL.

@xxxParoXysmxxxThat is bannable, if you played with a script during live games against other actual players they have the right to permaban you, and IMHO, maybe even should.

Depends on the situation, if you bunny hopped a few games with a script they could ban you for a week and give you a warning but since I do not who you are and if everything you say is the truth or not it is up to them to take the proper action, you said you never cheated, but you did cheat.

Macros is among the most destructive cheats that have ever existed, the reason being, it is hard to do anything against someone using script, it is hard investigating to find out the player is actually using a  script and if you have several different cases you find suspicious you have to make the decision if the player should be banned or not, it is harder for anti-cheat software to detect as well unless they forbid the mouse software entirely so because of that  I gladly face someone aimbotting rather than someone using a recoil macro any day of the week because then I know he is cheating for sure and will get banned sooner or later, macros, on the other hand, might be spreading like wildfire among the player base might be an issue no one dares to even look at.

I had my GHub on for over a year playing apex and never got banned.
