Re: Can't Accept or Send Party Invites

@Gephy I have this problem which repeatedly arrives to me, I am just normally having a game, and at the end it freezes and makes me restart, then when I get back in, everything is normal except my name is “Player” and I can’t join or invite anyone

    Thanks for following up! This is something I've seen happen from time to time. There are some other things we can try that might help. 

    When you have the chance I'd like to try changing the DNS on your PS4 to see if that makes a difference. I have seen some cases in the past where that can help with issues like this. To change your DNS settings follow the steps below: 

    1. Open your PS4 Settings

    2. Select Network

    3. Select Set Up Internet Connection

    4. Choose Wi-Fi or LAN Cable depending on how your PS4 is connecting to the internet

    5. Select Custom

    6. Under IP Address Settings choose Automatic

    7. Select do Not Specify for the DHCP Host Name

    8. Select Manual for the DNS Settings

    9. Enter 8.8.8.8 as the Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 as the Secondary DNS. This is the public Google DNS, but if there is a different DNS you would prefer using instead that's OK as well. 

    10. Once you've set both the Primary and Secondary DNS select Next. 

    11. Under MTU Settings choose Automatic

    12. Select Do Not Use for the Proxy Server

    13. Select Test Internet Connection to confirm the settings updates

    Let me know if you're still running into the same issue once the DNS has been updated. Thanks!

    Can you let me know which platform you're playing on? Is this something that's just recently started happening?

    Let's take a look and see if we can help get this fixed here. First, I'd recommend running through the basic connectivity steps from the EA Help website to see how that goes.     Perfect, I checked over both lists and checked all I could that the PS would offer, I did find my NAT type is 2, could this be an issue of it kicking me out? And this is a occurrence that happens at random points, so once it happens again I’ll test out the troubleshooting again and see what works.

    @EA_Kent So I got the problem to appear again, went through both lists and nothing worked. I think the description of what’s happening will provide a bigger picture.

    What happens when I get disconnected is, when we’re in matchmaking, my friends get put in a game while I get disconnected, while it shows that I’m still in the matchmaking screen. If I try to restart the game, my name above my character is “Player” instead of my actual name, and my level isn’t showing, if I try to Ready Up, the check mark that’s supposed to show up doesn’t appear.

    If my friend try’s inviting me, the notification for PS4 pops up, and if I try to accept, nothing happens.

    @EA_Kent Sorry for the late reply, but I tried this when I had the chance and it seemed that it all is perfectly fine now, thank you so much for your help throughout this.
