- @zbttkhh I don't believe so. See the note below, from the official EA cross progression announcement:
"Note: to prevent exploitation, any secondary Apex Legends accounts created after Oct 26th for the same EA account, will not be eligible to be merged." Im also in a same position (2 accounts with 2 different ID's) and i know that crossprogression is out of the question but can I unlink Steam from my current account and link the PS4 one to Steam. In theory will It make me able to use that PS4 account on PC? I don't really care about cross progression or losing data on my "current" one as I haven't really put that much time into it as I did to my Console one. Or Am I missing something?
- @Cyph6r101 Could possibly result to progression lost I believe
- @TheRedLion9 How come? That Console account has it's own EA account, so wouldn't that work like changing accounts?
Thanks for the reply! - EA_Mako2 years ago

You're correct! You won't be able to copy or transfer progress between EA accounts, but if you're just looking to use your PS4 progress/content on a PC account, that's still possible.
This will require that your EA account with the PSN link has not had a different Steam account linked in the past, and would look like turning this:
EA account 1: PSN account, PSN progress
EA account 2: Steam account, Steam progress
into this:
EA account 1: PSN account + Steam account, PSN progress
EA account 2: Steam progress
If you'd like to look into that further, you can check the steps to unlink here, or contact support directly if you're running into trouble with that process.
I thought that this just meant the accounts cannot merge.. not that i can’t play my console account on pc.
I unlinked my psn from my old ea account and linked it back to my new account where my steam account is will cross progression still work?
- @dSKyNafinchin Plus someone else said I should do that. @XHelperZ said i should link a new steam account to my console account so they’re on the same EA ID and see if that works when cross progression rolls out. the accounts won’t merge i get that but because my console account is the better one surely it would pick that for me to play on rather than the new account because if this was the case and you can’t create another steam account to play on your console account on pc then every new pc player who wants their console account on PC won’t be able to play either.
Since I unlinked my psn and linked it to my ea which has my steam aswell will cross progression work for me cuz my cosmetics aren’t showing on console
Since I unlinked my psn and linked it to my ea which has my steam aswell will cross progression work for me cuz my cosmetics aren’t showing on console SOZ FOR THE REPEAT
So would this be the same for my instance ? I simply just want to play my xbox progress/ account on pc and i’ve linked a new steam account to the ea account that has my xbox account on. I know nothing will merge however will i still be able to use the console account on PC, on the day cross progression comes out ? How would it look on my end ? if you don’t mind enlightening me.

If you've linked a new Steam account to the same EA account that already has your Xbox account connected, once cross progression occurs for your account you will be able to play on PC/Steam while having access to your cosmetics from the Xbox account, yes.
Hi there,
First off, the cross-progression update is a huge step forward and one we've been looking forward to for some time. As has been echoed a few times in this thread, (and others I'm sure) as time has passed and players have moved from one platform to another while playing the same game, many of us did use separate accounts to avoid our progress being potentially lost on the old platform in hopes of a future solution.
It seems that the final gap to bridge would be to investigate ways to link progress between EA accounts to finalize the cross-progression update. You have mentioned there are no plans at this time to do this as of now, may I ask if this is a technical limitation, or is it simply an issue that hasn't been considered yet until the first stages of the cross-progression update have been rolled out?
The work that has already gone into the update is apparent, and as games such as Apex have much longer life cycles than their predecessors no doubt it brings a new set of challenges. Any insights or opinions would be very welcome.
I couldn’t link my steam account to my original Xbox ea account. So I linked my Xbox account to my steam ea account will I still be able to get my old cosmetics on Xbox.
- @garathon I got screwed because I wasn't aware my accounts were separate ea accounts until after the timed period of linking which the fact that it was a timed event for cross progression is a whole other issue
- @tylerhinson62 Not if you didn't do the link before the 26th because it was a timed event to link accounts which is dumb I lost my main account due to not know it was separate ea accounts until after the 26th
im done man.. i saved 250 apex packs on PS and accidentally linked my steam account to a diff EA account and didnt realize until now.. after i had saved another 250 apex packs on steam. so, after scouring these forums and seeing theres no hope, so long.
I have one EA account connected to Xbox, and one EA account connected to Steam/PC. I am aware that they cannot merge and I don't mind, my PC account is like level 18 but my Xbox account is where I used to play all of the time. I have a lot of progression on the Xbox account. When the cross-progression rolls out, will I have the option to choose which EA account I want to play on? I realize I could just unlink my Steam account and link it to the Xbox EA account, but I do not have access to the EA email for my PC account. I just want to use my Xbox account on my PC.

Hi @mattshep1,
There is no way to connect two separate EA accounts for Cross Progression.
If you're wanting to have access to your Xbox content on a PC account, you'll need to move the PC account to the same EA account as your Xbox link.
This will result in a loss of the progress from your PC account, but it will have access to the Xbox content once Cross Progression takes effect for your account.
This will be the same situation as in the solution on the first page, feel free to check that out if you need links or information about linking the accounts. 🙂 Okay, thanks. As I stated before, My PC/Steam account is linked to an email with the EA account that I can no longer get access to. Is there any way you can help me unlink my Steam account from the EA account if I don't have access to the EA email?

Hi @mattshep1,
Please get in touch with support if you don't have access, as we can't make any changes to your account via the forums.
https://help.ea.com/help/faq/using-ea-help Okay, could I also just make a new Steam account and link that to the EA account associated with my Xbox account? Then when I boot up Apex on pc can I have my Xbox account? Or is there going to be an option when I boot up Apex, can I choose which EA account I want to play with if you have more than one?
Im just trying to figure out what are the best options and how many options there are in order to just use my Xbox account on my PC.

Hi @Doobizzle420,
To clarify, you would not have been able to merge content from two separate EA accounts even before the 26th. This has never been possible and is not the point of Cross Progression.
Cross Progression allows you to access content on any platform connected to the same EA account, not across different EA accounts.
The 26th cutoff date would have nothing to do with your situation in this case.
If you connect a new Steam account to the EA account that currently has your Xbox linked, yes, you'll be able to access your Xbox content from that Steam account once Cross Progression is active on the account.
Keep in mind if that account had a different Steam account linked in the past, you won't be able to link a new one to the same account however.
