Re: Cross Progression: I have 2 EA Accounts. What do I do?

Hey @MdSilva74,

I've merged your post into this thread as it's discussing the same issue.

Feel free to take a look back at the earlier replies as they'll also apply to your situation.

Progress cannot be transferred between two different EA accounts, so if you unlink either your Xbox or PlayStation accounts, you will lose the content/progress from that account.

If your PlayStation account is newer, you could unlink that from the new EA account and link it to the original EA account with your Xbox, as long as that account has not already had another PSN linked.

From that point, you'd be able to access the content from your Xbox account on both Xbox and PlayStation, but the content from the newer PlayStation-linked EA account would be lost.

    Hi @jxrd3n77,

We have no plans to implement content transfers/merges from separate EA accounts at this time.
  • I’ve unlinked my psn from my old ea account and link to my new one where my steam is will cross progression work

  • And if I were to do it the other way around like linking my Xbox EA account to my PSN EA account would progress still be lost I'm assuming ?

  • This entire thing is extremely unfortune. Do not get me wrong cross progress is great but I too have 2 EA accounts (somehow). I have a few hundred hours and a bunch of items on both accounts (Xbox/Nintendo on account 1 and Steam on account 2). I would say that I understand technology rather well but I do not understand why if I merge accounts or unlink and link a platform to another account that there is no way to transfer items from account 1 to account 2. Especially now more than ever with an actual cross progression system coming. I have been waiting at least a year for this---up to like 3 or 4 years ago I really can't remember the last time I really grinded Apex---but it doesn't matter because it doesn't apply to me so I have no motivation to play the game like I thought I would by getting all my old items back.

  • So would that be the same from xbox to PC cause I switched to PC a year ago with different ea account and my heirlooms are on my xbox. @EA_Mako

  • You fail to mention that since non of the accounts from separate ea accounts were linked before the 26th then it won't work at all. So it doesn't matter at this point if you try to link it if you didn't do it by last Thursday oct 26th it wont work which screwed me out of my main account since i didnt know it was separate until the 29th so even tho i unlinked from my alt ea account and linked to my main one it didn't matter since it was past the period

  • No because you didn't link it before the 26th so your just screwed it happened to me also

  • @chunzzy No if you didn't link it to the main account before the 26th which is dumb that it was timed your just screwed happened to me didn't know my account we on separate ea accounts until after the link period

I'm kind of stuck right now, I heard about people who unlink their accounts from ea and they lose everything they had ever owned. Ea have also never mentioned anything about it being possible to change Ea. connections from two accounts so I'm really stuck right now and I don't want to lose everything from my console account. I also don't want to give up my pc account. I just got my first heirloom across both platforms even after playing for 3 years and spending a lot of money on both sides.

I have only one question imagine idc about my pc acc I just want to bring the psn one so can I just make a new one on the same ea id or link my pc acc(different ea id)

And just bring the psn one with no stats just skins?(the pc acc was made before 26 oct but if I make new one on the main ea acc it's over 26 oct)

What will happen can I bring the psn one( main)?

And will we ever be able to get our account back ? because my account still has its stats and level but i lost all cosmetics and i can't access the load-out and legends tabs.

Because if we do lose everything i am never playing this game again lol.

  • How incredibly half-baked is this cross progression. I have two EA accounts. One has my Day 1 Apex PSN progression, the second has 2 years of Apex Steam progression. I cannot unlink and relink to consolidate accounts, because that wipes it. You cannot link a new account, because it's a lifetime tie to the EA account. You cannot merge two EA accounts. You cannot source from multiple EA accounts for cross progression. You deadline the account linking to a week prior to launch, so that anyone with issues after launch, when issues arise, are SOL?

So naive to think that I'd get anything intuitive from EA.

  • @jxrd3n77 nah they wont, they only dedicate time to do recolors and be unfair with their community. Literally the worst company in history
  • @Zadokfcb did you find a fix for this I am also on the same page as you I have 2 different EA accounts which I have spent quite a lot on both and now it says if I unlink them I'll lose everything that i had on xbox if i wanted to link that to my PS one, @EA_Mako how do you fix this x

    Hi @GG11Grimm,

Progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. This means if you link your platform to a different EA account, you'll lose access to that progress.

There is not a way to transfer progress between two different EA accounts, so if you have progress on both that you'd like to keep, I would not suggest unlinking from either one so you don't lose anything.
