Never mind, it crashes with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED and DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG 🤐
- @R4TH0S do you still have corsair cue software installed? it's giving you an error in the dxdiag..
Corsair.Service.DisplayAdapter Update BIOS and reset it to default. Only use overclock for RAM, do not overclock CPU.
If game still crashes, use Display Driver Uninstaller to uninstall GPU driver and manually reinstall it. Do not overclock GPU.
Run Windows Update, the Tron script, and Snappy Driver Installer.- @R4TH0S wellI usually have overclocking of the video card
Thanks for the tips. I have now updated iCUE, probably gave a major update which I had not yet done. My CPU and GPU are not overclocked. I performed the BIOS update and reset days ago, but unfortunately it had no effect.
I'll let you know if iCUE was the problem, I'll also try the parameter "-numworkerthreads 4".New error... WTF is going on with this game?
Just to let you know, games like Rainbow Six, Red Dead Redemption and Borderlands 3 are running with out crashing.
@R4TH0Sdid you undo the changes which we did with dxcpl.exe? just remove the game from the edit list in dx control panel
there is a thread on the error you posted above:
@Konform103 I used the Origin version of the game where I did not change anything but the parameter. I deinstalled the GPU driver now with DDU. Keep you updatet. Thanks for trying ☹️
- @R4TH0S better you delete it in the dx control panel just in case.. on a side note i'm also wondering why 1080ti appears three times in your dxdiag..
i think i also had a create2d error back in the days.. not sure but it might have to do with samsung rapid mode being enabled? is the game installed on the 860? Hey @Konform103, had no crash in the last 1½ hours. So maybe installing the GPU drivers new fixed it. The game is installed on the Crucial SSD.
My PC is only 2 month old, I ordered everything with the Ryzen 9 5900X release 🥳 so "back in the days" is two month ago:P- @R4TH0S so you solved device hung and create 2d errors??
Okay nerver mind, had time to play today for some hours... And after 3h it crashed again. I love it. Hope the next Season update fixes the issue :/
- @R4TH0S don't worry they won't, this problem was still there since before season 1, they don't even bother to fix it :v
But the problem didn't exist for me before the last "fix". Only since the known crash problem was fixed I have these crashes.
Small update: The error persists even after the new update. The BIOS and the graphics card also received updates during this period, which did not solve the problem.
Apex Legends is the only game I currently play, but these bugs make me lose the fun...
this update made it worst more than previous one
now the task persist in the task manager and can't be closed, must restart the pc only
WTF
@R4TH0S
repasting from another thread i posted in:Friend's got a build with a Ryzen 5600X and RTX 3070, having same DXGI issue. I thought it was graphics related but I'm starting to think it may be a game optimization issue with the new Zen 3 5000 series AMD processors, as all 3 people as of past 2 weeks in this thread have one.
I've tried every kind of resolve possible
- Clean installs of latest and numerous archived nvidia gpu drivers & amd chipset drivers
- Mobo/GPU bios flashes
- Static paging file changes
- Reg edits for TdrLevel/Delay timeouts
- AMD Ryzen Master OC off and on
- Changing power plan settings like PCI link & minimum/max processor state etc.
- Reinstall of directx/.net/c++ redists
- Game client on both steam/origin with file rechecks
- Debug mode on Nvidia control panel/no oc mode on GPU
- Numerous configs of Vsync forced off/adaptive & capping fps and fps max unlimited launch commands
- User account control off and force everything to be ran as admin- Setting monitor to 60Hz from 144Hz
- Fresh install of windows, prime95'd (cpu/mem stress test), msi kombustor'd (gpu stress test) and memtested the hell out of this machine as well, there's nothing wrong with it.
Simply assuming game is bugging/not yet optimised with newish hardware. That's exactly what I think, but a friend of mine has a 5800X in combination with an RX 5800XT and his system runs without any crashes 😟
@R4TH0SSo I just underclocked the memory on the PC and it's working now. Turns out the RTX 3070 doesn't like 3600mhz memory speeds with certain setups, even though cpu and most games are fine with it. It's running at 3200mhz now and apex is fine. Bit of a shame really as it means can't couple Infinity Fabric with memory when using an RTX 3070 but ah well.
Only thing I can recommend is if you have a DOCP / XMP profile set in your bios or memory OC'd, try disable or underclock it and see if it works.@Krucial_RX my RAM also clocks at 3600 MHz. However, it does not crash with an AMD graphics card in the system.
I have added the DxDiag.txt again in the attachments, because of course a lot has changed due to all the attempts of the last few weeks.
I got the same problem since 1 month now... Didn't find any solution..
Official answer via the Twitter account @EAHelp:
I understand. To be honest with you, looking through your thread, it seems you have gone quite deep into troubleshooting. You clearly know what you are doing and so I am not sure how helpful my assistance will be for you. Since you mention that this only started happening since the last update, it could be the case that this needs to be fixed on our end and perhaps no amount of troubleshooting on your end will fix it. The good news is that you have already got off to a great start as the forums are where the games team picks up bugs like this for investigation. It would be really awesome if you could give your report some time to be picked up by the games team so they can investigate. I know this has been reported in the past but as you said, it was from older versions of the game and seems to be fixed for those parties. I am sure, just like the others, yous will be fixed soon too. -Shay
I have the same issue. 90% of the time it happens when transitioning to the the champion screen just before the game starts.
It only started with the season 8 update. Never had problems before.
The only recent change in my computer was when I updated NVidia drivers to the latest version.
Playing on steam.
