I dont have Valorant or riot vanguard on my PC.
This Issue is annoying, sadge the game was running perfect before the last patch with the event.
more than this error 30005 i have several lag like packet loss....without having packet loss.
I try downloading from origin again....and same error...steam or origin is the same error 30005 in EAC
Anyone know if this new update fixed it? Currently not able to access my home PC so I cant test.

I had the same problem, but I copied all the files that are inside the EasyAntiCheat folder where the game is installed and pasted the files into Program Files (x86)> EasyAntiCheat. It worked for me.

It seems (for me atleast) the game dosent actually stop running on steam until closing COM Surrogate in Task Manager.. if anyone can do something with this info we may be able to fix it I guess?
I had this issue past days. What worked for me is just disable two kernels of my cpu.
Doens't make sense to me, but its working fine now.

I mind...if i stay with 6 threads the game runs but not right....with stuttering.
If go back to the default threads the game will be broken again with that error.
I prefer reboot and delete easyanticheat.sys than run the PC with only 6 threads.
sad....
Im waiting for an answer of EAC...i think is his problem...becouse do the same with all games with EAC.
