Re: GPU usage 100%

There's nothing wrong with a GPU being at 100% It's normal. How do you know it's 'stressing' your computer out? Keep an eye on your temps, if they're in a acceptable range there is nothing to worry about.

There are settings that affect CPU the most and settings that affect GPU the most. If you set everything to low you also set some CPU heavy settings to low which gives the game more resources to make the GPU reach higher FPS numbers which it will always try to.

Unless you set a maximum FPS you will always stress either the CPU, GPU or if your system is perfectly balanced for the game: both.

i think that, like fortnite, the game is just not optimized properly. even games like destiny 2 and black ops 4 dont take up 100% of my GPU usage. This could also be a possible reason for the multitude of crashes users get when playing the game.

I'm about to raise the dead post but - for real - i limit my fps to 120 and still the gpu is up at 76C using 100% and this is actually the hottest my gpu ever gets in my system, and its just the lobby - gtx 1660 - but then i drop into a game and the thing just uses 60% of my gpu and temps drop to the 50C range in gameplay - what in the duck is apex trying to do in the lobby? Cryptomine with our gpus? I don't see what more i can do to make it not do that >.> The reason i use the frame limiter is for consistent frametime not to drop the temps, but in apex without the limiter i hit 79c - with it on its down a few, but not much. Sick of tabbing out so my pc goes back to quiet mode >:C
