Re: help! 🥲🥲 Integrity error 0x8000002

@mesugaki_chapi3 Here's a few things you can try and let me know if any of these work for you:

- Repair your game's files:

- EA App: Go to your game library and click on Apex Legends, then click on "manage", and then "repair".

- Steam: Go to your game library and click on Apex Legends, then click on the gear icon near the right side of the launcher, (below the game's artwork banner). Now, click on "properties", then "installed files", and then lastly, "verify integrity of game files".

- Epic Games: Go to your game library and click on the 3 dots next to Apex Legends. Click on "manage", and then "verify".

Note: If you don't see this as an option on Epic Games and you have Apex Legends installed through the EA App, follow the steps for the EA App.

- Reinstall the game

- Clear Game/Launcher Cache:

- EA App
- Steam
- Epic Games

Note: Steam doesn't exactly have a way to clear the game's cache, only a way to clear the download cache, but it might help.

- Repair your system's files:

- Open the Command Prompt in administrator mode

- Type, "DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth" (without the quotes), and wait for it to finish.

Note: DISM stands for "Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool". It often repairs Microsoft related files, such as issues with Window apps. Some problems with the next file checker can only be fixed after running this one first.

- Now type, "sfc /scannow" (without the quotes), and wait for it to finish.

Note: sfc stands for "System File Checker". This one will repair system files, (such as important Windows drivers).

- Lastly, restart your PC.

- Changing your graphics settings in the system settings:

Windows Settings > System > Display > Graphics > Change Apex Legends' graphics.

- Other possible fixes for PC players:

- Disabling any programs that may interfere with Apex Legends.

- If you use AMD Software꞉ Adrenalin, try reinstalling it.

- Update Windows, system drivers, etc.

  • - Repair your game's files:

I tried but it didn't work

    - Reinstall the game

I tried to download EA in addition to Steam, but it didn't work. I tried about 4 times.

    - Clear Game/Launcher Cache:

I'm on Steam, and I have a lot of games installed, so it's still going to take a long time to try this.

    - Repair your system's files:

I tried this too, but it didn't work

    - Changing your graphics settings in the system settings:

I installed apex several times, but because I haven't been able to play it yet, apex is not displayed in the graphics settings. I think it was displayed when I was playing before.

    - Other possible fixes for PC players:

I disabled and uninstalled as many interfering programs as I could think of, but it didn't work. There may be other interfering applications, but I don't know which app is not good🥲🥲

Whenever I try launching the game from steam i get hit with error 0x8000002. thing is, I've never installed any software like that and don't have anything else open while launching. I even tried verifying the files and it changed nothing. Also nothing from a restart on my pc. any ideas?

  • When I was about to give up because I thought I couldn't do apex anymore, I suddenly started apex and for some reason the app started! I don't know what triggered it, but thank you for kindly telling me!

Same issue here. Been trying for 5ish seasons now with no fix? Did all the same stuff you did with no fix. Error pops up every time.
