Re: High Ping in all servers

@dovlawh You could try to manually select the server with the best ping.

1. On the title screen, wait for one minute.
2. Press ESC to access the Accessibility page.
3. Cancel the Accessibility page, then click on Data Centers below.

Now that you’re on the Data Centers screen, you’ll be able to see your ping to any available Apex server and select the best one.

You could also ask a close by friend with the same ISP to check their ping on the same server and compare it to you. if there are any differences, then you might be having some issues with your home network, or at your ISP. There are also multiple websites which you can use to check your internet speeds and response times. Maybe give that a go and compare to a friend.

I know a couple of instances where land lords have had some bad wiring in the buildings, causing bad performance.

@Godisbullen Did you even read what he wrote? That's exactly what he did. Happens only in Apex Legends.

Btw. I live in the same city and use the same ISP, so where I get ping like 36ms, he gets like 380ms (as he wrote already), where I get 150ms, he gets something around 500ms, etc. Again, only in Apex Legends - the pings to random websites, EA servers, etc. are quite regular (10 to 150ms, depending on the server location).

Apex Legends automatically selects the best server for you, of course, so in his case 370ms was the fastest. Seems like the connection to Apex servers is going through some kind of proxy.

@shomzilla he said he was automatically assigned to a server, so I didn't get that he'd tried to manually change it.

But if that's the case. Maybe try go through a VPN, just to check your proxy theory.

@GodisbullenYeah, yeah, his pings are insane on all servers on the list.
He said it's normal with other games, and we compared pings to some other things, outside of Apex, and it's all regular.

Not sure a VPN would help, because my guess was that the game itself goes through some kind of proxy, so in case of VPN it would still go through that proxy after leaving VPN... I've seen a few more posts regarding this, so he's definitely not the only one.

We'll see if Respawn tech guys know about it.
