Re: How do I fix an invalid EA account?

Hey everyone. 

If you've been able to successfully reset your password and you're still getting the "invalid account" error please reach out to the EA Help team and let them know. They'll need to pull up your account and work on getting this fixed. I'm afraid it's not something we're able to help with directly here on Answers HQ. 

For more information on how you can set up a case with them check out the EA Help website. You can also get in touch with them through Facebook or Twitter as well if that works better for you.

this is the trash answer i was given by your help team, after being told my accounts log in on a hotmail account, they cant tell me what the email is cos u know security, so who knows? not the actual owner of the account thats for sure. Ive tried changing passwords, but this is clearly a server side problem. ive not changed anything my end, and i do mean anything, and now it no longer works, for no apparent reason at all.  Same invalid account issue, no answers after talking to help team, only more questions. like why are they telling me my accounts are logged in as a hotmail account, when i am litererally logged into ALL my accounts needed at this very moment as a gmail account.  Ur account recovery form is more interested in what i spend money on, there are as many questions about buying habits as there are tech support questions... Classic EA...

If my account is invalid on Apex, why is it not invalid on Dirt 2.0? both use online features both are EA, if my account is invalid, and you cant trust me as the owner of the account why is it i can access payment details, email account data on this account? your security system is flawed.

So now i wait, i sent the form off to find this mysterious email account ive never owned, (maybe ive heard off, but u cant tell me so who knows) you also realise the 'Lost' email form also asks you for the email address u have lost... if i had that i would be over at outlook pestering them, not here for hours on ur janky website trying to find what ur company classes as 'help'

Do u know how frustrating it is knowing the chat person u are talking to has the information u need, they are looking at it in fact and they cat tell u... despite passing the security on the only account? but i didnt pass security on the other account (i didnt even know existed) so thats that then...

Yeah ive spent the whole day trying to sort this, and got no where, so yes i am frustrated... can u tell...

Ignore my earlier post plz.  u were right my EA acc was tied to a different email. Lol no wonder I was so frustrated 

How can we possibly get help from where you have mentioned if they intentionally close all methods of communication. Its absolutely absurd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  

I am also having this problem it just started on 05-08-20, completely random on Xbox console for the game apex legends. I have reset my password, I have changed my email address as well. I have tried to log in via the “xbox account” link and also received the “invalid account” message prior to and after changing passwords and emails. When logged into ea on a computer or phone I see that there is no longer a linked Xbox account I have my Xbox account for 12 years my EA games use goes back a long way. Not to mention I have I spent a fair amount of money on Apex Legends see as I have 3 heirlooms. This is a problem and I need a solution.

I just want a response like is EA even trying to fix this? Are the funds Iv spent on Apex legends going to be refunded? Will I even get my account back? Your help site won’t even send my email address a recover password email and yes Iv checked all inboxes and confirmed the email is correct. Is anyone actually important even going to see this *. Like do y’all even care?

Still waiting after a week to have EA email me back on this issue I cant even get back into my original account now because its invalid to log in on your actual website.  I've spent hundreds on battlefields and now I can't play.

For weeks now it says the same thing "account invalid" have changed passwords, emails and all of that 
Have been trying to reach out to to you guys and the EA community to fix it 

To only have it say the EA chat is down. 

SO THEREFORE THERE IS NO WAY TO GET My STUFF FIXED! All everyone is telling me atleast 
As no one at all can give me any info on how to fix this

Wont be buying anything from them for a while untill my games get fixed. EA doesnt care as I have seen multiple people trying to fix this issue. Going to be turning as many people away from  EA as possible. Hundreads down the drain to literally have the entire company poop on everyone with no help or repercussion to  make up.

same problem for me ! i tried everything ! i saw that a lot of people have the same problem....this is ridiculous EA...

This is bs my ps4 account been on ea and now it unlinked and cant link accounts cause there no link now ya are unless and ea help is garbage

having the same issue here, except I’m on Xbox One. I was playing Apex: Legends just fine without issues yesterday, and then tonight I tried logging on and it says “This account is invalid.” I have tried resetting my password multiple times now to no avail. It still keeps giving me this error code even after a full day! And it is across all of the EA games I own like Jedi Fallen Order, Battlefront 2, Battlefield V, just to name a few. 

Looking to hear back sooner than later.

Same boat. Exact boat but on Xbox. They tell me it’s a gmail account. The only gmail account I use isn’t the one. I answer so many invasive question just fine. For example my last four of my CREDIT CARD. And then sorry. We need more info before telling you your account associate email. LIKE WHAT MY WHOLE * SOCIAL.

I definitely get the frustration. We'll do all we can to get the account recovered, but you're going to need to accurately answer the questions from the advisor. They need to match the history of the account in order to recover it.
