Re: r5apex.exe - Application Error (0xc0000005)

Well let's try some basic steps first:

Run a System File Check

  1. Open up a Command Prompt with Admin perms
  2. Run the command "sfc /scannow"

Repair game files

Steam

  1. Right click Apex
  2. Go to properties
  3. Go to Local Files
  4. Select "Validate integrity of Game files"

Origin

  1. Right click Apex
  2. Select repair game files

Check your storage health

Open command prompt in administrator mode and type chkdsk X: /f /r where X is the hard drive letter and hit the ‘Enter’ key.

(If you are using multiple storage mediums, then just go by the drives one by one)

Check your RAM

Let me know if anything of this helped, otherwise we gotta find another fix.

  • Hello, I'm not the OP, but I've had the same problem. I've never actually played the game, I just installed it to play with a friend. however, after completing loading through the launch screen (the pop up window with the blue loading bar and the picture of the new legend) the error window popped up. I've never gotten the game to properly launch. I first verified the integrity of the game files (I use steam) and that didn't work. Same result with the launcher and error. I tried running the program as an administrator, and that didn't work either. I tried reinstalling and that didn't work. Finally, I tried installing via Origin, and I STILL had the same result. Today, I tried the remaining 2 suggestions in your post, and my memory is fine, and my storage is a-ok. what else can cause the error?

  • Hi,

I have the same problem. I made all of your actions but I always have the problem. Moreover it works when I start with clean boot. Do you know other actions to do ?

  • I've run the "sfc /scannow" command as an administrator but it tells me that Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
