I did that and it still did the same thing to me and said I'd receive bans/punishments.

Hello, @zachmyster.
What system are you playing on? Also, are you on a wired or wireless connection?
I'm on ps4 and I'm using wired connection

Let's see if alternate DNS servers will help. Try following the instructions here. If you don't see a difference, try the Google DNS servers. Those are: Primary alt number 8.8.8.8 - Secondary alt number 8.8.4.4. Let me know if that makes a difference or not.
Same problem with me since 2 months. Only in ranked game, not in duo/trio mode. So that’ s not the connection.

Are you saying you switched to a wired connection, but are still disconnecting? If so, did you power cycle your equipment after making the change? If not, do that now with the steps I mentioned previously in this thread. Let me know what happens. Thanks!
Man you guys need to address the punishments if the game keeps disconnecting. It's happened to to literally any person I'm playing with including myself. We'll get kicked for connection issues to only your servers. Not on any other game we play and forced to deal with an abandon penalty. We all have a mix of different connections with wired and wireless with strong connections. It's not everyone's issues with multiple connection types, it's your servers that have issues. It's the only common denominator
I am having the same problem I'm on xbox one

We can go through some troubleshooting if that's ok with you. If so, let me know what system you're on and if you use a wired or wireless connection.

That's probably the issue then. Wireless is unreliable and prone to disconnects/lag. Especially when the signal has to travel through walls and/or floors. This gets worse when there are other devices sharing the same connection. It's worse still when anyone is streaming media while you're playing. Until you get wired, or at a minimum, closer to the router, this will continue to happen. You can try changing the wireless channel you're using. That may help. Also, you could try opening ports. They are listed here.
You also may want to try researching powerline adaptors. Those have been a really good solution for many that are too far from the router for a wired connection.
@EA_Aljo my internet is in the next room over I have tried the wired and it still won't work

What you're experiencing is common with wireless connections, but it shouldn't be happening so frequently when wired. Have you checked the cord to make sure it's not damaged? Also, did you power cycle your network equipment and console after switching to a wire? If so and it didn't make a difference, it would be good to get a wired UO Trace from you. Do you have a PC on the same wired network that could be used for the test?
@EA_Aljo Yes ive done allod that and I don't have an pc

That's going to make things more difficult, but I'll keep trying. Did you already try using alternate DNS settings? If not, try this: From the Xbox One screen, go to Settings > Network > Advanced settings > DNS settings > Manual. (If Settings doesn't appear on the home screen, select My Games & Apps, then Settings). From there, enter the Primary DNS as "208.67.222.222" and the Secondary DNS as "208.67.220.220". If that doesn't help, try using the google DNS servers which are: primary alt number 8.8.8.8 - secondary alt number 8.8.4.4.
I’ve had this same issue. It used to just put me back in the match. It doesn’t do that any longer. I’ve tried all the steps you have given to remedy the situation. I’m now not even loading into matches. Can we get rid of the the abandonment penalties some how. It’s hurting ranked.
im having this same exact issue, and i know for certain that it is not a connection issue, your servers just keep kicking us and penalizing us for no reason
