Have you tried remapping the key to see if it makes a difference?

- Ooooh man, I really hope this feature was not scrapped because of this post. Please bring back the double spacebar tap to exit to the lobby after a match.
I can understand this being a problem during an active game, but after a match, a swift exit should be must-have. - EA_Darko

Why not backspace? That makes sense even in the name of the key
I concur, hitting tab to skip some menus and shift to skip others and then not having a confirm for the 'quit game' option anywhere on the keyboard is irritating.
