Regarding Accounts Made After October 26th

A few days ago, I linked my Steam account to my EA Account which is tied to all of my PS5's progression (been playing on PS4/5 ever since Apex's release), and finally decided to make the switch to PC.

The post's topic concerns a certain piece from a blog post, "Note: to prevent exploitation, any secondary Apex Legends accounts created after Oct 26th for the same EA account, will not be eligible to be merged."

"will not be eligible to be merged."; what does this mean?

  1. the Steam account won't be able to use cosmetics from my other platform

  2. any progression made on the Steam account won't be merged

If it's #2, I don't really care because I haven't done anything besides completing the Training portion. But if it's #1, that seems to kill off the entire point of this feature and they should've been warning us way before October 26th saying "Hey, do this now or you'll miss out!" rather than telling us on that day. It pretty much just means "Oh if you didn't create another platform account after that date you'll be stuck to your one platform forever".

I believe they are referring to a secondary platform account (Xbox, PlayStation, Steam etc.....) under the same EA Account.

But yes, you should be eligible for cross progression.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask 🙂

If you made the Steam account long before cross progression was a thing, you should be fine.

Also, make sure that both platform accounts are under the same EA Account to allow cross progression to occur for you.

I've had this Steam account since 2009. So based on your answer, I should be alright. But, I'm confused because the blog says "any secondary Apex Legends accounts", which just sounds confusing as hell.
