Hi! first of all, please make your external monitor the MAIN monitor in windows display settings. and Nvidia control panel should always be present unless you are using DCH drivers. try uninstalling the present driver and install the newest WHQL version of your video driver.

I have set only the external monitor as my screen, so the option of "main monitor", is already set when connecting on this mode.
About the drivers, I have the drivers 630 intel (integrated graphic) and also the latest version for my Nvidia 1050ti. Maybe the option doesn't appear because of that.
I was thinking of something else to change the file settings to force the resolution. I'm downloading origin, and I'll check the commands you listed.

Do u solve this problem??! I have an ultra wide that auto defaults to full screening the entire screen even when changing desktop res and lowering in game res and everything!! And it won't let me use custom resolution utility!!
