Season 12 apex stuttering (pc)

I just updated my pc from a 2070 to a 3070 ti. I noticed however that before I did that I was suddenly having weird stuttering issues. For instance, my game would be running at 130-165 fps constantly even before my new graphics card and the game would feel like 40 fps. I have done research and looked up many solutions to this problem.

Pc specs are as follows:
12700k @4.9-5.1ghz varies based on temps

3070ti

ddr5 ram 4800 mhz. XMP1

750 PSU

Samsung ssd 980 pro 1tb

Samsung ssd 970 pro 1tb

temps on my graphics card never reach over 60 C.

Temps on my cpu never reach over 70 c unless im loading a game up.

I have cox gigablast. less than 5 ping on ping tests.

I have tried clean install of apex, switching to origin, uncapping fps, capping fps, graphics high and low (i already use lowest settings on apex), uninstalling graphics drivers and clean installing them, disabling full screen optimizations, disabling gsync, clean install of windows, deleting the anti cheat folders and repairing apex, disabling all overlays, running ram diagnostics, everything checks out. No power issues/temp issues as described above. Just scored a 11500 on time spy which was "above average" for my setup. Cpu is like 20-30% usage even on uncapped fps. gpu is like 97% on uncapped fps and 60-70% on capped fps. GPU barely hits power target unless I uncap fps. ping is usually 20-40 depending on the game.

Its not as noticeable in a recording, but its still there. Much worse in person.

Its been like this ever since the weapons bundle update. I have no idea what is causing my game to stutter like it has been. Just hoping someone has an idea of what it could be.

@ttv_Doom_mw Have you tried Riva Tuner(RTSS)? I had a similar issue to what you described after an apex update a while back. There are lots of videos on how to configure it to Apex and it’s not too difficult but it will smooth things out a lot. My game would tell me I’d be at 144 but it never felt like it was.

I was having the same problem and what I did was turn gsync off and low latency off ingame and in the nvidia control panel. It worked a treat my fps is 195-175.

I tried RTSS, still the same issue. Its almost as if the graphics card is taxed but its not? Capped fps 165 (monitors refresh rate) still has stutters. OC'ed the CPU to 5.3ghz on all p cores just to make sure cpu wasnt causing the issues, as well as the ram. Ram is currently 5600mhz cl40 ddr5. Still stuttering especially when tap strafing/turning camera fast.

I think I found a fix for the stuttering. In windows 11 currently in the eval copy build:22581 you have to disable game mode, and diagnostics data in privacy and security. I then put my fps cap up to 190 in game and on riva tuner. Game runs flawlessly (for the time being). CPU is running at 5.3 ghz and gpu (3070ti) is running at a stable 2100 core clock. Ill update if anything changes.

Soooooooo that didnt fix it. I started up the game after that and it didn't run as smoothly sadly. So I tried rolling back drivers. That worked for about a game, then it was back to being super laggy. I just clean installed windows and wiped my hard drive. That seems to have made it better but not completely removed it. Clocks are still stable. Just doesn't make sense to me on what it could be >.<

Hi guys same problem here with my 3070ti and the only thing that i test and worked is disabled the shader cache of Nvidia control panel then restart pc and clean disk the dx cache files then restart again and open game when you in match go to control panel and change the scaling to full screen press yes and then choose no scaling againwhen you in game I repeat.and you will play smoothly. I think the problem is for shaders and gsync they didn't work well try that and reply if that works

I started getting stutter issues as well this season, but exclusively on Kings Canyon map. Game completely hangs randomly
Olympus and Storm Point work well. Except Olympis has terrible framerate.

Pretty sure the problem is the game, performance is terrible, my pc handled every other season just fine, now its really jittery looking, some areas it can look smooth but then in others it does not look like the fps that's been shown

Unfortunately that didn't work for me. It still continued to lag. I don't know what is a good fix. It almost seems like textures render in late or something. I was playing today and i noticed that the grass was untextured, then the stutter would happen and the grass was pretty. No dip in fps, no spike in performance either. But then other times it would stutter for no reason at all.

I agree. I have no other issues on any other game. I only started playing in season 11 but the performance difference from last season to this one is ridiculous to say the least. It doesnt feel smooth at all. Even with the new update today I still am having terrible stutters. I wonder if @EA could comment in and give their opinion.
