Steam Account Linking

When I try to link my EA account to play Apex Legends on Steam, something goes wrong. I get a message telling me that they are currently experiencing a technical problem and I should try again later. So, I waited for a whole day but still get the same error. I tried to link it through both from EA's website and in-game. You can find the error messages in the attached files.

    I've tried to unlink my account from Steam for months. This is what customer support said was the reason:
    "I would like to inform you that we’re unable to unlink your Steam account at this time as there are specific Apex Legends purchases on the account, which now makes it ineligible for unlinking"

    Please fix this

    Hey @datpad @catfishnchips, 

    If you are running into issues with linking or unlinking other accounts to your EA Account, I would recommend checking out our help article below. In order to link/unlink a connected account, you will need to be able to login into your EA Account Portal and can see the connected accounts under the "connections" tab. 

      

    Please be aware there are permanent changes that occur when you link or unlink an account, which is further described in the links below.

    @EA_Illium Hello, thanks for the links. I have been trying this for several months. If you could please read my original post:

    @catfishnchips Happens to me more often than not. I go to task manager and end all EA processes then try again and it works. I've battled with glitchy EA stuff since whenever C&C began and learned to just kludge if I have to.
