Still get extreme input lag with elite 2 controller

I play on an Xbox Series X for reference. For months my controllers have suffered from severe input lag and I had to stop using them and go back to a xbox one controller. I've used the elite series 2 controller as well as the factory series x controller and had issues with both. I specifically bought the elite 2 controller to play apex and it is unusable. The update that came out a few months back has turned it basically into a paperweight for me as the only game I put heavy hours into I cannot use it. I've tried plugging my elite 2 into my laptop and running xbox accessories but don't see anything there to help with the issue and it is up UTD on all updates. This is an apex legends issue only as I can use either controller just fine if I choose to play any other game or just moving through the basic xbox menu.
