What is your gamertag/PSN ID/EA Account name? zapwilder
Please provide your squad mates' gamertag/PSN ID/EA Account name if possible.
Which Legend were you playing (if applicable)?
Which Legends were your squad mates using (if applicable)?
Where did the issue occur? In a match
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. Happens in all areas of the game
What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. just playing the game, constant issue
Did your squad mates also experience the issue? I don't know
How many matches had you played in a row before the issue occurred? 0
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 18.05.2019
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
How severe is your issue? Minor impact to gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? While moving or while adjusting the camera direction, shadows and dark lines on textures will suddenly darken and just as suddenly stop when not moving or looking around. For example running into a building causes the segments where walls are made of different materials to have the space where those materials connect become much darker. Shadows under foliage and on rocks will do the same, as well as the lines on the plants themselves. It almost looks like the game has suddenly become cell shaded, or someone turned up the VividPixel setting found on some Asus monitors. Also, even though I do not have the adaptive settings on, the resolution will randomly turn down and look very noticeably worse. This combined with the darkening issues makes it hard to pick out targets while moving or aiming.
What should be happening instead? The visual experience should remain the same regardless of if im standing still or moving.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? not sure since friends have not run into the issue either

all of my settings are default except for:

fov 110

brightness 65

minimal sprint shake

ragdolls low

one other thing I thought of was that the nvidia drivers recently updated, I changed physx to cpu since it was crashing borderlands 2

    @zapwilder

Do these steps below correct it for you? (Super basic steps but want to make sure they were covered)

    • Right-click on the game in Origin and select "Repair."
    • Reset the video settings to default in-game.
    • Roll back your video card driver to see how it functions on that build. Then reinstall the latest one if necessary.

Any way you can submit a screenshot so we can see what you're looking at?
