stuck on matchmakin

I am stuck on matchmaking in apex legends. Always showing no one in queue. I play on Sydney servers in peak time and it takes 5-10 mins before it even shows anyone in queue.

The weird thing is whenever I queue with a friend on the same server, the queue times are always instant.

I have tried switching to a more popular server, the same thing always happens when I solo queue.

Please help.

  • Hey @Bognoo,

Code:net is a general connectivity error, so aside from the steps you've already taken, the other things we can suggest would be these additional troubleshooting steps.

It may also be worth a clean boot of your system just to make sure no security programs or other processes are interfering with that connection.

You could try installing through Origin or the EA app to see if there's any change, however if the troubleshooting steps above also don't help out, you'll likely want to then reach out to your ISP as this is likely being affected by something just outside your home network.

    Hey @Bognoo,

Just to clarify as you mentioned you solo queue, are you using the No Fill option at all?

While you're able to get quick games with a friend, I would definitely recommend checking through these troubleshooting steps, particularly the steps to change your DNS.

Those steps should help out with a variety of issues that could be contributing to this, so please be sure to check those out when you get a chance.

It may also help to make sure you've opened these ports for Apex on your router and firewall. This link is not an EA site, but should have steps to walk through that process for most router models.

  • I have already changed my dns to the public google ones. 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as backup. I sometimes use the no fill option. Would this affect the queue time negatively?

    @Bognoo

There are a limited number of no-fill spots allowed per match, so it will definitely be much slower to get into a match in general.

You may even see the number of queued players increase and drop back down multiple times as games launch with no fill players who had queued up before you, but it should eventually launch - it may just take a bit longer than normal.

If you've been queueing without using that option and are still seeing extremely long queue times I would definitely check through the port forwarding steps and remaining troubleshooting aside from what you've already done here.

  • Thanks for your reply. I have done the troubleshooting and also done the port forwarding step correctly. Still have the same issue. Is there anything else that I should try?

  • would reinstalling on origin instead fix the issue potentially? This is what I see whenever I try to queue alone even with fill teammates on.

  • Hey @EA_Mako,

The error doesn't occur all the time that the first time it had occurred just then. How can it be a connectivity issue when matchmaking is fine when I queue with others in a squad?

I will try the clean boot to see if that fixes anything.

    Thank you
