Sudden fps drop for 30-40 seconds and then back to normal

Hi,

after the new patch during in game play on random occasions my fps drops from 120 to 10-20fps and this happens regularly and then after like a minute (45-60secs) back to 120fps.

when this happened  for the first time i repaired the game and updated the game from origin. When this did not solve the issue i re installed fresh copy of windows 10 and prayed that it would be fine but still the same issue.

so i tried a couple of troubleshooting such as deactivating gsync, uninstalled antivirus, cleaning ram, cleaning cache, lowering setting from nvidia control panel to everything high performance.

Only after these options have failed to resolve the issue i am here to get some help.

my system details are below:

Alienware 17 R4 with Nvidia GTX 1080 and 120fps screen refresh rate.

windows 10 home edition up to date with latest drivers as of April 29th 2020.

PLEASE HELP THIS GAME IS UNPLAYABLE
